About MilesJöhnsön / Shows

MilesJöhnsön consists of Tim Brown, on drums, who grew up listening to Creedence, Nirvana, the Foo Fighters, and the Breeders; Mike Carpenter, an excellent jazz and heavy metal guitarist whose role models are Jimmy Page and Joe Bonamassa; and Bib, the bassist, inspired by Black Sabbath, Gov't Mule, Motown, Skynyrd, Thin Lizzy, the Stones, Wishbone Ash, & Led Zeppelin. 

The next stage of Southern Rock, our music's a blend of all out rockers, ballads, Americana, blues, a little bit of country, a little bit of punk, and a little bit of funk.  While difficult to describe, it's something of a cross between Rival Sons, Whiskey Myers, Social Distortion, and the Drive-By Truckers.  Our songs tell the true and often strange stories of life in modern America
